Why do we do what we do?
Have you ever gone into a restaurant and wonder why people open restaurants?
Well – there are a million and one different answers you’ll get. Some say it’s because they love food. Some say it’s because they wanted to own their own business.
Here are Broad Street, Jeff and Dan did it because they love to be a part of this amazing community. They also did it because they wanted to be a part of your life. Don’t get us wrong – when things get busy or stressful, just like any job, we can lose our focus. We forget for a minute why we do this… why we open up at 7 am… 7 days a week…
And then we get something like this to remind us why – 
A child in kindergarten was asked to write a list of things they loved. Of course they wrote Mommy and Daddy… they also wrote God and Jesus… and then right at the bottom was us! Broad Street!
Now why would a child write Broad Street on a list of things they loved?! We are nothing in comparison to anyone on that list! Then we realized… it’s not the delicious after school cookies, cupcakes, or brownies (although we’re sure they help) – but the memories that Broad Street has helped create for that child.
When you think of Broad Street, we hope that you think of us, like this child, when you think of the people and things you love. THIS why we do what we do.
We want to say THANK YOU to the child who wrote Broad Street on their list of special things they loved. We are putting this up for everyone to see at Broad Street to remind us every day why we do what we do.
